Fine Art Commissions

Marie specializes in creating painting commissions that are designed uniquely for you, based on your photos and subject matter. She works with you to select a photo that will be the source of inspiration for a one-of-a-kind piece of original artwork. Many people enjoy paintings of their pets, homes, gardens, and special moments.

Each painting is created using professional-grade acrylic paint on a locally-made, gessoed birch panel. Marie references your selected photo to create a colorful, dynamic representation of your subject. Once finished, Marie attaches a sawtooth hanger and wall bumpers to the back of each piece, so that you will have a ready-to-hang work of art as soon as it is delivered.

Marie’s commissioned paintings are excellent heirloom-quality gifts, memorials, and statement pieces to brighten up a space. They are created with high value craftsmanship, playfulness, and heart.

Commission Process

Step 1

Take a moment to imagine the subject for your painting. You can also imagine where it might go, such as a room in your home. Fill out a brief Commission Request.

Step 2

Marie will promptly reply to gather photos, and to further discuss the subject for your painting, any questions, and Marie’s artistic ideas based on your request.

Step 3

Together, you will pick out a photograph or image to be used as the reference for the painting. You will agree upon the size, orientation, and color scheme.

Payment

Commissioned paintings are $2.50 per square inch. 50% of the total price is required for the initial deposit, and the remaining 50% is required when the artwork is complete.

Shipping

Paintings are professionally packaged and shipped. Shipping fees are assessed on a case by case basis and depend on the size of the piece. An estimate is provided with the commission agreement.
